What was a 1995 portable CD player?
By 1995 the portable CD player ran on two AA cells, fitted in a coat pocket and had electronic skip protection. Car adapters and cassette-shaped tape adapters turned a portable player into a car stereo source. Burning CDs at home was only beginning, so most discs were bought.
What do you see on the D777?
Two blue AA batteries without a brand sit at the top. Below is a circular green circuit board with a black spindle and a black carriage. The disc is transparent, an empty clear disc with a spindle table and little feet, which makes it easy to see the mechanism beneath.
The clear disc and spindle spin, the carriage shifts, and fixed highlights keep the glassy look.

Which sound settings suit the D777?
Treat it like a clean 90s portable. Wobble and hiss off, saturation slightly up if the music is too crisp. In the equalizer, Flat is true to the genre and Bass adds a bit of walking-around punch. A synth or tunnel background looks good behind the clear disc.
Is the 1995 CD Player free or PRO?
The D777 is a see-through option in the PRO disc line-up. It belongs to REWIND PRO: weekly $2.99, yearly $19.99 with a 3-day free trial, or lifetime $24.99 once. Without PRO you still get 8 machines, plus analog sound and the equalizer on all of them.
