Do the speakers really move?
On the 1985 boombox the two big speakers with chrome rings pump with the bass of the track, and the L/R LED bars rise and fall. On the 1980 portable the grille pulses instead. Both are visual effects of the music you play.
Does the sound come from the phone?
The audio plays through your iPhone speaker, headphones or Bluetooth, like any app. Boomboxes are about the look. For loud playback see the volume boost, up to +9 dB with a limiter, in PRO.
